Track day instruction 2006 Is again a new chapter for us as we now offer a cracking new service; ONE TO ONE tuition, this also has the added difference of rider to rider communication via a state of art intercom system. After hours of listening to riders talking in the pits about there last session on track and how they “think there getting better at that corner” and so on I thought it was time to do something new.
The idea is that rather than do 20 minuets and then have your instructor tell you that you ran wide on lap 3 or your braking too early for that corner on lap 6 and 8! NO not any more you will get immediate instructions at safe times while out on the circuit so you can correct your mistakes the next lap and not the next session.
The next session is now free to learn more about you and your bike!
You choose the circuit and the track day provider and I will attend on my Factory Benelli Superbike, all you need to do is send an email with the circuit and day you wish to ride at and I will work out a costing for that venue.
As well as this fantastic service I can also help out with bike set-up, this is one of the most overlooked features of people who do track days. Most modern super bikes have all the right equipment on them from the factory it’s just a case of set up! Want to know more! Contact me Tel: 01226 284293.
Russ Bennett a brief history
After a horrific bike accident at the age of 17 where no less than 13 major bones were broken, it’s a miracle that Russ or Rusty ever wanted to ride a motorcycle again, but he did. It was always on the cards for a come back although the right leg needed lots of protection. In the summer of 2000 riding an out of date 6 year old CBR600 it happened the first win at Elvington Park, from then on we had 4 years of racing never quite getting the right sponsorship deal’s to go big time but we enjoyed our racing and that was the main thing.
The highlight was to win the Derby Phoenix championship in 2003, after missing the first rounds we had to come from behind all season. We won the title at Snettorton at the final round riding the trusty GSXR750. The following year we only managed the runner up spot but still we enjoyed our racing. In two seasons with Derby Phoenix we managed 30 race wins which is some achievement, Rusty was one of the smoothest riders I’ve seen and his understanding of the bike was second to non maybe all that family knowledge did pay off!
